Who are we?

Wands and Worlds is created by a mother-son team. We share a love of fantasy and science fiction, and enjoy recommending our favorites to each other. We thought we would extend our recommendations to a wider audience, in the hope that we can help others looking for great books to read.

Hi, my name is David! I am interested in many various things, most of them not real. I have studied Mythology and Fantasy since I was very young, and have been reading Fiction since I was four years old. I also am interested in much computer programming, such as HTML. So when my mom came to me with a project that involved both- well, how could I refuse? I enjoy reviewing profusely, and plan to keep reading Fantasy for as long as I live

I've been reading fantasy and science fiction since I was very young. My mother started reading L.Frank Baum's Oz books to me before I could even read, and once I could read I quickly moved on to books by such great authors as Asimov, Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Andre Norton, L'Engle, Tolkein, and many more. In those days, there weren't a lot of fantasy and science fiction books specifically for children, so a lot of what I read was adult F/SF.

Throughout my life, I've read many different kinds of books, but my favorites have always been fantasy and science fiction. Through my son, I have been introduced to the rich variety of science fiction and fantasy for kids and teens available today. I've rediscovered old favorites and found new favorites.

Books are very important in my life. Besides reading and reviewing books, I also publish books through my publishing company, Imaginator Press. With Imaginator Press, I have published my husband's book, a fantasy called The Dark Dreamweaver.

I have developed or helped to develop several other web sites besides Wands and Worlds, including MyCinnamonToast Genealogy, CousinConnect Genealogy Queries, Aiki Martial Arts Institute, and Affinity for Learning Homeschool Tips.
