Description:When Dayven takes the Wizard Test, which he desperately wants to fail, and passes, he is shocked. The wizards rarely ever find anybody, and Dayven is quite surprised that they should choose him. He most desperately does not want to be a wizard. They are deceitful creatures with no laws and follow nothing. But he is told by the Lordowner that he does not have to become a wizard, but for most the temptation is too great. The Lordowner sends Dayven on an undercover mission to find out what the wizards are doing. Dayven is to pretend to become a wizard, and find out the wizards plans. If he succeeds, the Lordowner will make him a guardian.
David's rating: 5.0 wands      David's Review:Interesting conflict of hero versus self. The ending has an interesting twist. Above all, one of the best qualities of this book is that it is much different than many other fantasy books.
