Good book filled with adventure. Good for the mid-aged children.

Mom's Review:

Wizards of the Coast created this series to encourage new and reluctant readers, and in that, I think it could succeed. This is a book that reads like a game, and should appeal to this game-saturated generation of kids. The book probably will not appeal to older readers - there's not much character development, for example, but the simple characters and straightforward, action-oriented plot is just about right for younger readers who have passed the early chapter book stage. The book gets better as it goes along, and there are some interesting plot twists in the second part of the book.
