Description:
The water is all drying up. Everything - every pond, every place - the water is quickly going down. Tad's father, Pondleweed, tells him that it is a drying time. Pondleweed and Tad, along with Tad's sister Birdie and their pet frog, ride up the stream to find the cause of the drying. But then, Pondleweed seems to hear strange music - and steps right into a black lake. Birdie and Tad are soon thrust into a wild adventure, where Tad constantly has strange remembers which are not his own. They learn a surprising truth, and soon they must face an enemy who is more terrifying than anything or anybody could ever imagine.

I like this book. I like the general plot and the characters. The characters are interesting and most of them are likeable. My favorite character is the pet frog named Pippit - he's funny and cute. I like the environment and the places.
