Fantasy and Science Fiction for Children and Teens
Description:Nathan has dreams. Dreams that are real. He dreams of an odd city, and saves a drowning man. The next day, that man turns up on the news. Nathan struggles to understand his strange dreams while all around him, many strange forces wish to get the Grimthorn Grail, which is supposedly the Holy Grail from King Arthur legends. And soon, other strange things begin to happen in Nathan's small homey town... David's Review:Very good book. The descriptions of the characters are very rich. I also find it interesting that as well as the hero, the hero's mother is a very important character as well. It is also fun to watch the police struggle to understand supernatural things. This is a wonderful book, although it leaves some loose ends, which I assume will be wrapped up in books 2 and 3. Mom's Review:Science fiction meets fantasy in this remarkable book by Amanda Hemingway. At first glance, with its picture of the grail and the words "The Sangreal Trilogy" on the cover, it looks like just another grail book. But The Greenstone Grail is anything but that. This grail has little to do with King Arthur or the Holy Grail, although it does appear that certain themes, such as sacrifice and betrayal, resonate with truth across multiple universes.
