Fantasy and Science Fiction for Children and Teens
Description:Gordon Edgley recently died and young Stephanie, his niece, got a surprise when she came to the reading of his will, when almost his entire cast of possesions and property are left to HER rather then her weaselly uncle or her two delightfully snobbish and impolite cousins, or perhaps the odd friend of Gordon Edgley's, Skulduggery Pleasant who speaks in phrases like "Good luck with whatever you decide to do with your life." David's Review:This is five wands all the way through. This is hilarious and comical, as well exciting and imaginative. In my opinion, this is a Harry Potter calibur book. This should be good for readers of ALMOST any age, some of the youngest readers might have a little trouble, but this is one book you shouldn't pass down. A must read. Mom's Review:Skulduggery Pleasant is one of those books that you just can't put down. It's exciting, it's funny, and it's filled with interesting characters doing interesting things. You just can't help but like Stephanie - her stubbornness, courage, and impulsivity make her a character to be reckoned with. The witty repartee between Skulduggery and Stephanie is hilarious and one of the delights of the book. It's a fun, fun book that will appeal to kids and adults who love adventure, excitement, magic, and humor.
