The Sphere of Secrets is an evocative and mythic story with themes of faith, redemption, and the nature of gods. The richly detailed world is reminiscent of ancient Egypt, with some overtones of other ancient civilizations and some unique characteristics as well. The story itself is suspenseful and a good read; the characters deep and surprising. Well worth reading.
