Lol, I actually think you can only register with either a few different parties here, and if you're not one of those, you just choose not to register with a particular party. Then you can register independently with the party of your choosing later. I'm not 100% sure, though xD Either way, I'm still trying to decide which party to register with - there are several communist and socialist parties, and they all have their ups and downs, haha.

I've wanted to vote since I was like, 13 though, so I guess I can wait... another... five years... sob. But it's good to know someone like you will be voting in the next election.
