I could probably make it just about any time on a Sunday. On Fridays, I could make it at 3 pm (PT) or later, since I have school. Unless I don't have school that day, but that would probably just be me. :P

The Ratha books are some of the most amazing books I've ever read. They're far better than Warriors, at least in my opinion. That could just be because they feel more mature and... "stronger" or something like that. I love them. Once my current reading queue is worn out, I'm going to read them again. ^^ My friend still has Clan Ground... *plots*

OH NO! i havnt gotten to reading the ratha books yet!!!!!and my mom's gone this week...if i order it from the library, maybe my dad'll take me. but first i have to finish the 5th artemis fowl book. i dont know if friday or sunday would be better, it depends on what's happening that day! but i would skip just about amy thing for an author chat!my parents will let me stay up as late as i need to for an author chat.

Spottedstar, don't worry, I'm not talking about this weekend. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. We'll probably announce a date at least a few weeks to a month in advance, to allow people time to read the books and for word to spread so that other Ratha fans can join if they want to. So you still have time.

Everyone: If you are looking for books that your library doesn't have, in case you don't know about this, libraries can order books from other libraries using something called "Interlibrary Loan" or ILL for short. If your library doesn't have a book, just go to the information desk and ask them if you can request a book through InterLibrary Loan. It takes a couple of weeks to come in, and their may be a small charge (my library charges $1) but it's cheaper than buying the book.

You might want to ask the librarian to look for the new editions, which were published in 2007 by Firebird books. There is an older edition which was published in 1983 (for Ratha's Creature), and when I requested it through InterLibrary Loan, the older edition showed up in some of the libraries, so I asked the librarian if she could request the 2007 edition, and she did.

I love her books. I'm From the east coast and Proud of IT! I can stay up till....Whenever.

Is the ILL thing national, or just within local library families? The libraries around here are all on one network, so they share a lot of books. I just requested a bunch of manga from various other libraries because mine doesn't have a lot. If the books aren't already checked out, the transfer only takes a few days, though. That would be cool if it were national... there are a couple of books I want to read, but not buy, and no one I know has them, and the libraries don't... I could read them at the bookstore, but I feel guilty when I do that. XP I wonder if they have the Ratha books... *goes to check*

I believe that ILL is national. I live in Baltimore, Maryland, but when I requested Ratha's Creature, it came from somewhere in Pennsylvania. That's why it takes a while.

But you probably have to specifically ask your librarian for "InterLibrary Loan" using those words, or they'll think you mean an in-system transfer.

the ILL thing is pretty cool. It's a lot like what they do for my library. You can order a book, and it will come from some library in the county(not country). I don't know if it cost anything, or if all county libraries have this, but it is very helpful. It usually doesn't take very long, but I ordered Ratha's Creature on Friday, and we haven't gotten an e-mail yet saying it's in. Maybe it always takes this long, and I'm just extra impatient now. Oh Well, it'll come. Anyways, in other news, OUTCAST COMES OUT TOMARROW!!!!!!AND WARRIOR'S RETURN!!

Sheila: probably a few weeks, enough to give my parents polite future notice. Every other Friday I go to my dad's house for the weekend, at around 5:30, so if it would be a day I'd go over there, I'd need to tell him and see what I can do.
