Death Note Mafia **Day phase begun! Lasts until 8:00 PM EST Wednsday**
Alright, I hate to go with common obsessions, but Death Note fits very snugly into mafia form. I mean, come on, there are characters that see other characters real names, characters that kill... People are sometimes protected from the killing... It's like it was built to be a mafia. I want to note that there are some awesome features with this mafia. There will be images attached to every post, and each post will include entertaining and detailed events. Plus, I've made sure very very carefully that all roles are balanced. Now, even if you don't read or like death note, please read the section below!
Why should I join this mafia?
I've worked extremely hard on this mafia, and I expect it to be really really fun. Pictures will be included with each post, public AND private, and detailed scenes which should be fun to read will be posted often. You even receive special 'Bonus' character info in your Rolesheet, just for fun.
What if I don't read Death Note?
That's okay. I've worked very hard to specially adapt this game for everyone to enjoy. If you've read Death Note, you'll have just as much fun as the people who haven't.
What if I don't like Death Note, or at least the obsession over it?
Also, I think you would still have fun in this game. If you don't like the killing part of Death Note, why join any mafias at all? ;) The actual killing method isn't gruesome at all, so while all (Or almost all) mafias have characters dying, this mafia has no blood spurting from wounds, or any kind of horribleness at all. If you simply don't like the obsession over Death Note, not to worry, like I said I've carefully adapted this mafia so that having read Death Note is not needed in any way, and if you haven't read it, that won't inhibit the fun of this mafia AT ALL. The main reason I'm making this is, not because I'm obsessed with Death Note overly much, but because when I did read it, I kept thinking, “Wow, this would make a great Mafia game.”

So, that's a little section on why you should join. I think that almost EVERYBODY will have tons of fun with this mafia. So now, here are the bios on some of the main players in this drama...
CHARACTER BIOS
The Gamemaster
(Please note, this is not a real role, this is what I am. You cannot end up being M.)
Mafia(Kira)
The mysterious 'psychic killer', dubbed Kira by the public, consists of four people. If Light dies, then his killing power passes to Misa, but she keeps her current power. Same thing for if Misa and Light die- Higuchi gets the killing power. If all but Mikami are dead, Mikami gets the killing power, in addition to his killing power. All mafia know who each other are. The mafia win if all innocents are dead. This does not include Shinigami.
Neutrals(Shinigami)
The Shinigami are gods of death, they live in a world apart from our own, and use the death note to kill humans and steal their lifespan. They will die if they do not. They each have separate goals and their own agenda, and are neither on the side of the innocents nor the mafia, though they can decide to side with one side or the other.
Innocents(Investigators)
These are the investigators of the Kira case. Ever since Kira appeared, they've been trying to catch Kira- sometimes they get in each other's way, but they all have the same final goal. The Investigators win if all Mafia are dead.
Some rule clarifications:
-If the mafia attack another mafia, then the other mafia will die normally.
-Day lasts Twenty-four hours, as does night. Both end at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, except on nights that I can't post then.
-It is in your best interest to trust nobody blindly, and use anything you can to achieve the goal of your team. Do not, however, cheat.
-Please, no cursing.
-Some very odd conclusions can result in this game, so be on the lookout.
-Please make sure you can get on to post/use your power at least once a day.
