I have another book to give away! Candlewick Press has given me a copy of Sky Village, by Monk and Nigel Ashland, to give away to one lucky Wands and Worlds member. Sky Village tells the story of two children in a futuristic world dominated by beasts and meks (machines). In China, Mei's mother is captured by Meks and her father sends her for safety to live in the Sky Village, a large community of balloons tied together and floating over China, far above the beasts and meks. Mei is determined to do what she can to save her mother, and as she learns the ropes (literally) of the sky village, she seeks information that can help her in her quest. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, in tunnels beneath Las Vegas, Rom must learn to control a demon - a kind of half-beast, half-mek - and battle in gladiator-style contests in order to save his sister. Mei and Rom discover an unusual link between the two of them and work to help each other.

I've read the book and it's very interesting and exciting. I'll be posting a review of it on my blog soon.
