Dragon Slippers news!

Yay! This was in the Publishers Marketplace deals report today:
Jessica Day George's DRAGON SPEAR, the third book in the DRAGON SLIPPERS series, continuing Creel's adventures with her dragon friends as they battle against another race of dragons to save their queen and her eggs, again to Melanie Cecka at Bloomsbury Children's, in a nice deal, for publication in Spring 2009, by Amy Jameson at A+B Works (World).
The Publishers Marketplace Deals Report lists books that were acquired by a publisher for future publication. Spring 2009 is actually very soon for a new book! Hooray! I love Dragon Slippers and didn't even know that there was going to be a third book. I thought everything was wrapped up in book 2. But I'm happy!

Did it really seem that way?
Did it really seem that way? Well, authors have a way of surprising you! Like Vicky wasn't so evil at the author chat!
"We've all got both light, and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."-Sirius Black, from Harry Potter.

Yeah, it did to me. Did you
Yeah, it did to me. Did you read it? I actually thought there would be a book 2, since I still had questions at the end of book 1. But I thought book 2 was the end.
Edit: As for Vicky, maybe she's feeling generous due to her upcoming wedding!

I really miss the old cover style, tho. -.- I absolutely hate it when publishers turn on cool stuff like that. (The list also includes the original cover style for Wolf Brother. :( )

I agree. I liked the cover
I agree. I liked the cover for Dragon Slippers much better than the cover for Dragon Flight.

Well, the new cover for
Well, the new cover for Dragon Slippers is okay... I love the backgrounds in both paintings. But Creel looks to childish to be the Creel we know and love. In the original cover she had a sharp nose and a mischievous smirk that I thought were rather befitting of the character.
Why do publishers make those annoying changes? x_x
