Donations continue to come in for the Brightspirit auction, and we have many exciting and unique items. This week, BookPeople donated a ticket to attend Camp Half-Blood 2009, based on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, in Austin Texas next summer! And Rick Riordan announced the auction on his blog last week! The auction opens NEXT SATURDAY, September 20, and will run for 2 weeks. There are many small items as well as the large and expensive items.

Keep in mind that although the auction is in memory of one person, we hope to raise enough money to help many people and animals. Proceeds from the auction will be used to help encourage and teach children who can't read, to help animals in need, to help build a shelter to protect people from tornados and hurricanes, and help people who have suffered losses from those storms. The more money we raise at this auction, the more people and animals we can help.
