Do you read books where the main character is younger than you are? Heck yes, I'll read anything. I don't care how old the main character is.

As long as it's not too childish. :P Although, sometimes I like digging up books that I used to read when I was little. It's fun opening them up, and then thinking, "Wow, I really used to read these?" XD

Just curious, really. "Conventional wisdom" among people like publishers and librarians is that children and teens won't read books where the protagonist is younger, but I had a feeling it wasn't true. A good book is a good book, right? As long as the book itself isn't too simplistic.

I don't really have anything against it, but it just so happens that the books I'm reading now don't really have anyone younger than me in it. (Only one - When the Wind Blows by James Patterson)
To Losty and Brighty: Try Nicholas Sparks. ^^ He's a good writer, and it's all romance. (I recommend Dear John and The Lucky One. Haven't read The Notebook yet, but I heard it's good.)

@Ruby: I *love* When the Wind Blows & The Lake House! I read both a couple years ago. They are soo awesome and I vastly prefer them to Maximum Ride (even tho MR is pretty good).

other, because i'll read anything with a good storyline, and my reading level is way past my grade level, so the characters are uually older than me.
