I prefer italian food with salt and starch, but my friend here would like to expound the virtues of japanese food:
first of all why don't people know what japanese food is there is a huge difference between the two. Japanese food is much lighter on the sauce, and is mostly seafood and noodles why it has a zero percent in the poll's i have no idea.

It's a tie between Japanese or Italian. I would put Chinese, but actual food from China is very, very different from Americanized Chinese cuisine.

Chinese.x3 I'm used to having a Chinese flair on a lot of home-cooked meals, courtesy of my dad who imigrated from China and is the cook in the family. (I've had such a craving for his stir-fried veggies lately...<3)

(Just for the record, I've tried both "real" and "Americanized" Chinese food, and I love them both.)

Other: German cuisine would have to be my favorite ♥ I do love Italian food, though, as well as Spanish food. Oh, and Indian food is awesome. As far as Chinese and Japanese food go, I'm okay sticking to the Americanized versions of them (because the food is awesome).

I'm the only one that voted greek. The meatballs, The meatballs! and there is fried cheese called saganaki.

Japanese food *drools* my absolute favourite.

I've never had French food before but I heard it is delish.

I realize I should have voted Italian since I love pasta more than life itself but I also like Japanese food so idk why I chose that one first. (omnomnom new year's eve soba noodles <3)

And I like sushi for the most part, but the Japanese are so bad, killing whales and other endangered species I just can't even omg

I've been making Japanese food recently, though. ^^

Italian. Yum! I have no Italian in me, but no matter! One of my life’s dreams is to eat my way from one end of Italy to the other.
And I have to say that I didn’t have a bad meal when I was in France (nor in Ireland, for that matter), but the food in the south of France might not be what most people think of as “French” food. Northern French & southern French foods are different enough to almost be, well, different foods. Northern is more “saucy” & rich and southern is more Mediterranean.

Sunbeam: Sorry, but I don’t like Japanese food – except for an occasional Tempura shrimp.

Mexican food is another one of those foods that are American Mexican vs. Mexican Mexican.

I'm not really that familiar with Greek food, but the little bit I've had, I wasn't crazy about (though I love REAL Greek yogurt - not just thicker plain yogurt)- I don't like lamb or Greek olives, but there may be plenty I have never been exposed to that I would like. I'd sure like to go to Greece, though. I guess I could live on hummus. I'm addicted to a "Greek Style" hummus that has oregano in it. It's yum. Oh & I LOVE spanikopita!

I like them all (I haven't had greek though,) Cept for greek yogurt, Greek yogurt's awesome.

Haven't had much other country food but Italian because pasta is amazing.

I love Italian and Mexican and Japanese. But I put down other because Indian is my favourite.

I also tried one of those Mediterranean olive salad thingies and the olives were painfully hot ಠ_ಠ

I love croissants, baguettes, camembert (& brie) and, well, that’s about it in your list. Escargot – had them when I was about 13; thought they were like garlicky erasers. Had frog’s legs at about 9; hated them. In southern France, it’s roasted chicken, fish, haricots vertes & gorgeous lettuce salads. And pommes frites.

Ummm... Chinese (I've only had San Francisco Chinese food, which I place in a different category all together from other American Chinese food), Japanese, or maybe Greek, or Italian... Greek is super good, especially dolmas (stuffed grape leaves).

CHeese: I agree, but Irish cheeses are good, too. I've had their cheddar - speaking of which, Cabot Farms in the US makes really tasty cheddar, too.
